Wheel Fitment: How to Know Wheels Fit Your Truck

Written by the PickupChain team · Last reviewed October 17, 2026

Four specs decide whether a wheel fits: bolt pattern, center bore, offset and size. The bolt pattern must match exactly, for example 6x135 on 2004+ F-150, 6x139.7 on Silverado 1500, 2019+ Ram 1500 and Tacoma, and 8x170 on Ford Super Duty. The center bore must be the same or larger, with hub-centric rings if larger.

Select your truck above and we show wheels with a matching bolt pattern. Wheels marked "Bolt Pattern Match - Check Offset" share your bolt pattern. Verify width and offset with our wheel fitment calculator before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

+How do I check if wheels fit my truck?

Match the bolt pattern first, then confirm center bore, lug thread, load rating and offset. Our wheel fitment guide lists bolt patterns for popular pickups, and the calculator shows how a new width and offset change the wheel position.

+What does wheel offset mean?

Offset is the distance in millimeters between the wheel's mounting face and its centerline. Positive offset pulls the wheel in toward the suspension. Negative offset pushes it out for a wider stance ("poke").

+Do I need new lug nuts for aftermarket wheels?

Often yes. Many aftermarket wheels need conical-seat lug nuts, while some factory wheels use flat-seat nuts. Check the seat type and thread size, for example 14x2.0 on F-150 and 14x1.5 on most GM and Ram trucks.
