Best Tire Sizes for the Chevy Silverado 1500: Stock, Leveled & Lifted

Bigger tires are the most popular upgrade on the Chevy Silverado 1500. How big you can go depends on your suspension. Here is what typically fits on 2019-2024 trucks at stock height, with a leveling kit and with a lift.

These are typical specifications for the listed model years. Always confirm with your owner's manual, the tire placard in the door jamb and the retailer's fitment data before ordering.

How to read tire sizes
A metric size like 275/70R18 means 275 mm wide, a sidewall that is 70 percent of the width, on an 18 inch wheel. The overall diameter is about 33.2 inch. Flotation sizes like 35x12.50R20 give the height (35 inch) and width (12.5 inch) directly.
Going taller lowers your effective gearing and can make the speedometer read low. Plan to recalibrate the speedometer after a big size change.
What decides whether a tire rubs
- Tire height and width: wider tires rub sooner at full steering lock.
- Wheel offset: lower offset pushes the tire out toward the fender and bumper.
- Suspension height: a level or lift creates room in the wheel well.
- Trim parts: mud flaps, air dams and plastic liners are common rub points.
