Precautions Verify Compatibility First: Please confirm your toilet model number matches the compatible models listed above before purchasing. This valve is designed specifically for Thetford Aqua-Magic V series only. Turn Off Water Supply: Before installation, always shut off the water supply to the toilet and flush to release any remaining water pressure in the lines. Replace the Large Black Seal: Always replace the large black O-ring/flange seal during installation - do NOT reuse the old seal, as this is a common cause of leaks. Proper Testing Only: This valve must be installed on the toilet for proper testing. Do NOT test the valve outside of the toilet by blocking the outlet with your hand, as this can push the internal seal out of position and cause water to spray from the top, creating a false leak appearance. Use Proper Tools: Use a standard screwdriver for installation. Do not over-tighten screws to avoid cracking the valve body or damaging mounting points. Check for Leaks After Installation: After installing, turn the water supply back on and flush several times, checking carefully around the valve and all connections for any leaks. Cold Weather Notice: If storing your RV in freezing temperatures, always drain the water system properly to prevent freeze damage.
