皮卡在高速上发飘、方向盘有旷量，或过坎后剧烈抖动，通常是转向球头磨损。最常见的原因是横拉杆球头、直拉杆，以及 Jeep Wrangler、Ram 2500/3500 或 Ford Super Duty 等整体桥车型上的横向推力杆衬套。
大轮胎和升高套件会加大每个转向关节的负荷。加强型横拉杆和可调横向推力杆可在升高后保持正确的几何。转向减震器能抑制振动，但如果关节已经松旷，它只会掩盖问题。
两人一起检查：一人在发动机运转时左右转动方向盘，另一人观察每个关节。车轮转动前就有移动的关节都需要处理。
常见问题
+什么导致“死亡摆振”？
死亡摆振是整体桥车辆前桥的剧烈抖动，通常在高速过坎时触发。最常见的原因是横向推力杆衬套松动或磨损，其次是横拉杆球头、球头节以及升高后主销后倾角不正确。只加装转向减震器无法根治。
+更换横拉杆后需要做四轮定位吗？
需要。横拉杆决定前束。即使更换时数了螺纹圈数，也请安排专业四轮定位，以免轮胎偏磨。
+升高后需要加强转向系统吗？
升高超过约 3 英寸并使用 35 英寸及以上轮胎时，强烈建议使用加强型横拉杆和可调横向推力杆。它们能恢复几何，并承受大轮胎带来的额外杠杆力。
