空调与暖风：先诊断，再购买

空调吹热风的原因可能是泄漏导致冷媒不足、压缩机离合器故障、冷凝器堵塞或电气故障。不找出漏点就加冷媒，只能暂时解决问题。
如果所有出风口在各挡位风量都很小，先检查空调滤芯。在大多数皮卡上这是一项便宜的五分钟工作。如果只有部分挡位有风，常见原因是鼓风机调速电阻损坏。
现代皮卡的冷媒作业通常需要认证设备，尤其是使用 R-1234yf 冷媒的车辆。许多车主自行更换螺栓固定的零件，把抽真空和加注交给维修店。
常见问题
+空调滤芯多久更换一次？
通常每 15,000 至 30,000 英里（24,000 至 48,000 公里）或每年一次，多尘路况下更频繁。脏滤芯会减少风量并可能产生异味。
+为什么鼓风机只有最高挡能用？
这是鼓风机调速电阻损坏的典型症状。最高挡绕过电阻，所以只有它还能工作。
+我的皮卡用哪种冷媒？
请查看发动机舱内的标签。2010 年代中期以后的许多皮卡使用 R-1234yf，较老的车型使用 R-134a。两者不能互换。
