Most pickups leave the factory with the front sitting 1.5 to 2.5 inches lower than the rear ("factory rake"), so the truck stays level when hauling or towing. A leveling kit raises the front to match the rear, improves the stance and makes room for larger tires.
To find the right height, measure from the center of each wheel hub to the fender lip, front and rear. The difference is roughly the lift you need. Most F-150, Silverado 1500 and Ram 1500 owners end up between 2 and 2.5 inches. 3-inch kits often need upgraded upper control arms to keep the alignment in spec.
Select your truck above to see only kits that fit your model and year. Many kits use different part numbers for 2WD and 4WD, so always check the drivetrain in the product details.
Most 2015 and newer F-150s level out with a 2 to 2.5 inch front kit. Measure hub-to-fender front and rear to confirm. Raptor models use a different suspension and need model-specific parts.
On many half-ton trucks, a 2 to 2.5 inch leveling kit fits 33-inch tires. 34 to 35-inch tires usually need a 3-inch level or a lift kit, the right wheel offset and sometimes minor trimming. Compare diameters with our tire size calculator before you buy.
Strut spacers ("pucks") sit on top of the factory strut and are the most affordable option. Complete leveling coilovers, for example from Bilstein or Fox, replace the strut assembly, allow height adjustment and usually ride better, at a higher price.
A bolt-on strut spacer kit typically takes 2 to 4 hours in a home garage with basic tools. Plan for a wheel alignment afterwards. It is needed after any change in ride height.
In the US, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act means a dealer cannot void your whole warranty just because you installed aftermarket parts. They can deny a claim if the part caused the failure, for example extra wear on front-end components. Keep your receipts and alignment records.
